Any brake upgrade for 1.2 12v

Featured Replies

Can you get any upgrade calipers that bolt straight on? - I think you have to change hubs but winter might as well be here now so won't have a chance for a while.

Was looking at drilled and grooved discs but still about £60 despite being tiny. Not sure if they will look strange having drilled discs on a small car.

Not sure what to do really!

Pagid solid vented discs from TPS, Pagid pads from TPS and some ATE SL6 DOT 4 from ebay :)

Presumably it's  currently 256 discs and FSIII calipers, not 239/FSII?

Not sure on fs2 or 3, can easily check tomorrow.

It's s 2006 facelift so think fs3

I priced up pagid yesterday, mintex are cheaper though.

£15.50 per disc and £9 pads or mintex discs and pads for £34

Pagid get my vote, had Pagid front discs and pads (239mm) on my ibiza and it had great brake feel and plenty of stopping power. Were cheap too

I do like pagid, they are a good budget disc but with a good layer of anti-rust so don't look hidious after 10 miles of driving.

Another reason for changing them is I have a wobble on the steering wheel when doing 60mph+ and thinking it might be because of the old horrible looking brake discs with quite a big lip on them now.
