By stage 1 I assume you mean a remap, in which case simply fit a new DMF, clutch and slave.

Smf:

Pro - cheap

Con - noisey

Dmf

Pro - silent, perfect fit, light clutch pedal

Con - more expencive than a smf

duel mass for 240bhp or less

As above. It's up to you tho.

Try cp4l split the orders and use cp15less code for £100+orders

For a remap you could limit the torque low down and just keep your standard dmf.ssome smf can cause creeping.

After reading millions of threads on here, then applying my common sense, I have opted for Darkside's SMF/Sachs SRE clutch; not cheap (£1140 fitted), but do not want to have to change it again as I know I will be going GTB power in next few months. If you fit a standard DMF and clutch, then decide to go for bigger turbo later on then you will most likely rip it apart within months, depending on how good/bad the mapping is.

There are people running the standard clutch and gtb's with no issues as its as very smooth power delivery.

I have the sachs paddle clutch so I'm set for life....hopefully lol.

Think those few answers are enough to answer the original question, and puts SMF/DMF thread count to 1,000,001 !
