Hmmm...... What to say?

Just had my Saab 93 1,9 TID die after chalking up 252,000 miles in it and so have got myself a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TID that I pick up from WIngs in Peterborough on Saturday.

Work in IT for my sins (yawn.........!!)

Follow my beloved Leicester City and Leicester Tigers

Love to travel and have seen the Aurora Borealis in Norway 3 times now

Interesting fact about me......... I took one of CNN's top 25 travel photos of 2014 and had my work published by many different media outlets although I am a technically an amateur.

That's a good innings from the old Saab then - a chap at our work managed similar miles.

I have always thought my rear suspension a little soft when towing or even with a full tank. I fitted rubber assisters and this has helped hugely but I would like a little more permanent solution. How can I tell if springs such as these - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/lesjofors/9735347 are heavier duty? It does say for towing. Would fitting new shocks (Bilstein B6?) help as well? I suppose crawling under to see what shocks I have, and what springs I have may a good idea anyway? I think the

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? Dear Experts , Can anybody advice me what is the part about i.e side airbag or earthing ? This part is located near seat belt tensioner ( passenger front side on pillar of car,) two images are attached for info, image1 from YouTube shows big connector connecting two wires bit unclear picture, 2nd image is taken from my car shows some kind of adapter (843 ) not sure what it is connecting which is different from 1st image , not sure if any connection has been missed out to it is earthi

I really don't understand skoda in terms of rear lights. Why make diferent version of light at the back. My kodiaq is the selection version and came with a black trim in the trunk (instead of the tailight trim) , i dont mind but the thing that bugs me is the trunk left and right stop that don't light up .I know this is not a kodiaq only thing, the superb is on the same page.
