money to spend

Featured Replies

Right, I have had the vRS for around 4 weeks now and loving it. In a bit of a quandary though of what to do. I have around £400 left over from the sale of my old car and undicided of what to do with it.

option 1, Cat back exhaust, unsure of whats best, started looking at Milltek then found Scorpion then came across piper with 3.5" rolled edged tail, thinking of a non res system. What would be the best make in peoples opinion.

option 2, set of audi s4 wheels just to make it look a bit different and I like the s4 alloys on the standard ride height..

Option 3, the bodywork has a few dent and scratches, so was thinking of getting them sorted to make the car mint, this would also include a pair of front wings as the are both rusting.

The car has just had full service including oil, fuel, plugs and new pipercross panel filter in standard airbox, so everthing is good at the mo (apart from the secondry air pump, but not to fussed about that)

Peoples opinions and thought would be valued before I just waste this money on beer lol.

3) every time. No point in having a crappy looking car with a nice exhaust or wheels.

Yeah good point. But I miss the noise from the exhaust. I had a stainless on my last car. Ooohhhh what to do

As above. The cosmetics and dents would do my nut in every time I looked at it. Plenty of time for upgrades yet and there is always a bedding in period with the relationship with a new car, you may find some gremlins yet...

Yeah fair point. Think I am gonna go round and get some smart repair quotes next week.

I'd sort the bodywork first and then fit a rear anti roll bar.  The standard wheels suit the car reasonably well and if the exhaust is in good nick I'd leave replacing it 'till it needs doing.

I know what you mean about the sound though, I had a 106 Rallye with a straight through stainless system.  It sounded lovely.

looks like you guys have made my mind up. Anyone know where the paint code for the car is located. Think I may be getting old to, as the drive home form work tonight was quite nice with no loud burble.

I do like the spiders, but somebody has painted them black quite badly (by my standards) so may look at just getting them refurbed to.
