Back in the fold

Featured Replies

Hi All

Just wanted to say thanks for the recent advice regarding the tsi engine issues and delighted to say im back in the fold. Previously owned a 2007 tfsi and this time have a 2011 tsi dsg. The only thing I wish i hadn't done is google potential dsg issues (looks very expensive!)!! Fingers crossed mine stays ok. The car has 68k and has recently had the third revision of the cam chain tensioner installed.

Is it advisable to take out a warranty to protect the dsg box, put cash in the bank just in case or are the problems over-hyped?

Here is the motor.

Looks forward to lurking around on the forum and asking further advice.

Thanks

Mark

Thankfully you cant notice the damn stonechips in the photos. Id be tempted to get the front and rear bumpers spayed if I had the money
