I know it's abit early in the model year but it's worth an ask!

Has anyone fitted or had a towbar fitted after market on a my16 Octavia? I'm wondering if skoda have modified the standard wiring to include towbar preparation as it is no longer an option in the brochure.

On my15 you could spec either towbar prep or a full towbar, but from June when my16 started prep has been dropped from the option list.

It would definitely be better for owners if they have modified it so all connections can be made at the rear and then a quick programme. Vauxhall towbars have been plug and play since 2004 so would make sense.

Does anyone have any information on this?

From what I can make out the wiring is still going to have to behind the glove box. I've just bought the westfalia kit and its long. The instructions show it runs through the cabin. And the loom is certainly long enough
