Unable to remove oil filler cap on Vrs. Owned car a few days now an still can't figure this one out. It simply turn's side to side a few mil like its locked. Manual don't say owt an I don't want to force it. How's does it come off anybody?

Maybe the previous owner thought the filler cap was to blame for the oil consumption and glued it in place?  :p

you just gotta put your back into it (anticlockwise of course!)

It might be glued down with oil spilt from all the top-ups...

Had a few Vw's over the years since 1994 and nearly all of them have consumed oil. Apart from the previous Polo 1.8T. Never used a drop.

If I didn't know better, I would think oil is the secret ingredient that gives VW engines that slight (or not so slight) edge they usually have over similar competitors engines.
