ST Suspension Kit

Featured Replies

I've just had one of these fitted to my 2006 vrs hatchback.

Now the front is slightly higher than the rear is this normal.

I noticed that the estate kit has different ride heights front and back.

The car handles great but the ride is somewhat hard to say the least.

The car looks good but i've now started to worry that i've been sent the wrong kit.

Has anyone else had this kit fitted.

Thanks

Dave

Never heard of st? Shocks and springs? Any pics?

What height difference are we talking about and did you take before / after measurements from the hub to the guard?

Have you checked the partno on the box the kit came in?  Are the front springs seated properly?

And yes, it will ride harder as the springs have a higher spring rate & the dampers have to be firmer to control the springs.  Ride quality varies depending on the brand and how the valve the dampers.

sorry for slow reply.

Cheers drw8 i will measure it later.

It looks like i have a about 1 cm bigger gap between body and wheel on the front rather that the back.

The car certainly handles mush better.

If its just fitted, will it not take a while to settle properly?

It may even itself out.

Hi i measured the gap its 66cm on off side and 66 on the near side.

There is a larger gap bodywork to tyre on the front compared to the rear.

However It does appear to be settling a bit so i will measure again next week.

Its great on good surfaces but a bit harsh over rough tarmac. i can see my tyre wear rate increasing somewhat

Any pics mate?
