Any sniff of deals?

Featured Replies

My sister, an avid Skodaphile, has suggested that I put a hold on my Superb order as she reckons VAG may have to offer some serious discounts in the wake of NOXgate.

Any views on how likely this is?

i would suspect given the number of orders and build queues at the factory it will be a long time until any deals filter through. Furthermore as has been said on other threads it didnt affect Skoda

I think if anything demand for Skoda's may increase if customers want a vw quality car but without a vw badge due to the scandal. Personally I think the whole thing will blow over soon and normal service will be resumed. I can't see Skoda doing any deals with such a new release.

Well, we have one cancelled order among us!

Thought you had ordered a SE Business DSG lease deal?

Yes, well, still waiting for approval from VWFS - there's been trouble getting legible copies of my proof of address to them - I sent an email to the dealer who then prints it out and faxes it to them, by which time they can't make it out!

My personal preference would be to do a Merc C350e via a business lease, but too tricky with the business right now... And the wait for those babies is huge - looking at next Spring.

It was Claymore who's bailed!

I wonder whether there will be a bit off a backlash away from diesels and therefore residuals on trade in will not have the premium over petrol currently enjoyed by the oil burners. Especially when service costs for dfp and egr systems start packing up. Could there be a problem for future GMVs on PCP purchases?
