hi all

i have a problem with my heated rear screen that has left me scratching my head.

everything works as it should except the screen wont clear.the switch works and if i use a 12v tester every single one of the elements in the screen has a current but still it wont clear the screen.any ideas?

You say current but do you mean voltage, ie 12V ?

 

Look for minute breaks in the tracks caused by the window being rubbed by loads in the boot, but if this is the cause I would expect some of the strips to be heating.

 

If you have 12V on each strip then just as likely is that you have lost the connection to body return in the luggage compartment. Take off the trim and follow the wiring.

yes i meant 12v. when i went to work this morning i noticed that all the elements do work but only about 0.5 mm either side of each element leaving  the screen fogged between each one  as mentioned.
