Monte carlo with vrs lowering kit

Featured Replies

Hello all. Have my lovely little Monte Carlo in red and just had her fitted with some nice new yokohoma tyres which feel great on the road and I must add look great also. After having these fitted I thought to myself it still looks like its on stilts I was then recommended putting the vrs springs on which would lower another 20mm. My question is has anyone done this and would I see a difference and 20mm doesn't sound a lot.

20mm doesn't sound like much I agree, I went for 40mm H&R springs. Think the drop was nice not too low rides nice and doesn't hit anything.

Hi Richard apologies for the delayed reply. Actually lost this post. I have ordered the h&r 40mm lowering kit through recommendation from a friend. They are being installed next week. Will post up some pics when completed. Do you have a before and after picture?

I've just tried to fit a set of h&r springs to my Monte, but the top mounts don't fit the front springs ?

I don't I'm sorry lost all my pictures. I'm actually debating AP coilovers now as the new car idea has been stopped and I want to improve the handling and possibly sit lower, not sure about height though as now it's useable.

You may have the wrong kit, my kit fit straight on without any problems. Got mine from awesome GTI

What was the part number of your kit ? Rears fit perfect

Product Code:SU-SP-HR-29073-2

That's the product code from Awesome, mines for a tdi though with a higher front axle weight.

There are 2 different kits For the fabia. Mine was a pain to get but they should arrive from Germany Monday. Cannot wait. The car got a nice clean today in preperation!

Difference to standard is huge, ride is good but I'm finding it crashy now after awhile. So looking into AP coilovers good reviews so far.

I've got 40mm Eibachs but I parked next to another Fabia (VRs) with 40mm H&R and mine looked lower?? maybe the body kit created the illusion, anyway back on subject I#ve had much the same as Richard and found it crashy and very disturbing, as I have to be very pothole aware. After seeing Ant-Vrs on air, that's the next thing, rather than coilovers

I'd love to get air ! But that's way out of reach money wise for me but AP's for £400 sounds like the next plan. No idea how to set them up but should be fun
