Octavia warning lights

Featured Replies

Hello to all. Can anyone help with a few small issues affecting my Octavia 1.4? Seatbelt warning chime no longer works and low fuel light no longer lights up.

Have checked if the interior light turns on when drivers door is opened and it works fine.

Would this be a sender unit fault for the low fuel light or a possible led/bulb failure in the instruments?

Grateful for any opinions :)

Did both features stop working at the same time?

If it was simply an LED failure in the cluster then I'd expect the seatbelt warning chime to still work and the low fuel 'bong' to also still work, just without the warning lights.

Do the indicators still make a ticking noise? I believe the same speaker is used for all dash based audio, i.e. when the seat belt warning chime is active the indicators don't 'tick'.

Hi, thanks for replying :)  No the seat belt warning chime stopped first & seat belt led illuminated on the instruments. Good idea about the speaker, will have a check when the car comes home...
