How do I delete already-uploaded images?

Featured Replies

So? I wanna add new images but it's saying I only have a limited amount of space left, so I wanna delete some old ones to put the new ones up.

Yup id like to delete all mine and start again too.

Mil, the Gallery reports that you have 9 images in your personal gallery although I can see 12 there. Fabia 12v has 48 - so I can't understand why you are restricted unless Colin still has come settings to tweak. Fabia 12v, do you want me have a go at deleting all 48 images? If so, are any linked to posts and should thus stay? But first, can you see a delete option when you click on an image then selecting Image Tools at the top RHS of the image? (It is an Admin option for me).

DGW it says I've used 2.15MB of my 2.00 MB allowed.

Is that the maximum allowed?

If so, kindly do me a favour and remove my pics for me, so that I may upload them again with proper naming etc. Thanks.

Sounds to me like a setting is wrong in the new gallery. I am sure the limit is really much higher.

Colin will have to answer that, Mil. I did find mention in Freedom discussion that the limit for attachments is 1,500,000bytes for ordinary members and 10,000,000bytes if signed up for Freedom. I will delete your images now.

Thanks for deleting them DGW. One thing. I still can't upload more than 6 images. Kinda sucks. Colin can you help out??? It tells me I only have 2 MB of space!

I'll double check the settings tonight. Some may not of been applied properly before.

However whilst only 2mb does not sound a lot coupled to your attachment quota x 8000 members is a lot of potential disk.

Freedom members get 10Mb and staff get more which is why your thinking applies Manny.

It's a case of balancing I'm afraid. Maybe in 6 months when we migrate to a much larger server they can be reviewed.

Hope that helps.

And the upload, again pure load and response / memory usage on the server.

So that mean I can't get more pics up?:(

Mil, did you change your username because there were still 3 images listed under Fabia 2.0RS (I think) which look like your car?

PS I can't find them now but I definitely did not delete them.

Sounds like the filesize your using is bit OTT, make sure they are jpeg's and a reasonable screen size. 640x480 is usually fine for most things you would need to post.

Hmmm....the images are quite big. And i deleted the old account thingy.

I'll try again. Thank you boys.

EDIT:

Okay I just checked, and the file sizes are mostly below 600 X 480 dude.
