Featured Replies

Thanks for posting up Ben - reminding me i found an eBay shop selling hte TAC systems gear.

May be of some use to you and the guys. Obviously you can gauge is the pricing is competitive etc.

I've never purchased from this seller personally - so can't vouch for them;

but i know Ben rates the products for sure.

Cheers,
Ste.

Same company as saverschoiceuk.com

They used to do free delivery on their website which made them really cheap if you were buying one product.

Selling KKD too, I see!

Well, So much for waiting till the better weather......

Yesterday some twerp decided he wanted all the road along one of the many country lanes here, and forced me off into a very freshly cut (Ie: stupidly sharp) hedge......I now have a scratch the whole length of the car!! :@ :@
Most of it thankfully is only visible and cannot be felt with the fingernail. But some of it can...........typically the bits in the most obvious places :(
Any tips on getting this out? And also advice on which combo of polish and pads to use? (rotary polisher, M2.01 and H7.01, and CGHL Black white and green pads)

Nice sunny day today, so got the morning to give the car a wash for the first time in 2 months (and 3,500 miles!). Then used some of the Korrosoll on the wheels as they were manky, Has cleaned them up quite well, but some stains haven't gone, got a feeling maybe it wasn't on long/thick enough. Also used the ObliTARate which worked a treat! Just need a correct sized spray head as its a small bottle (or an empty larger threaded bottle from somewhere!)

So thanks for the recommendation guys, worked a treat!

Aaaaaand now its snowed :x
At least there's now a clean car with a little bit of protection on it, rather than the muddy bare mess it was before! When we get a good day in spring I'll see how the polishing goes.

Well, I got that good day in Spring I mentioned!
Sadly I have no snowfoam, so a standard rinse and then 2B wash to start. Then use of korrosol and ObliTARate on the paintwork, followed by a good claying.

This was followed by some H2.01 on a hex logic white pad, as I thought id best start gentle even though it needs some work. Still have lots of swirl marks/scratches so needs something more, maybe the green pad? But on the other hand, it has removed most of the massive scratch down the passenger side so I'm pleased with that.

After the polish it was on to the TAC systems ceramic coat, still not 100% sure how much to apply with this but think it went ok. then topped that up with Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax.

The results seem pretty good for a first time:

And it also beads quite nicely too!

Yep, some nice beading there and it does look clean. Do you have any "before" pictures, for comparison?

Sadly not no. It always came up reasonably shiny before, the main difference is the depth of shine, its quite hard to pick out from photos. But it is like there's a fine glass cover over the car, rather than just shiny paint if that makes any sense?? That and the wax stops bird poo sticking which is handy! Our friendly local winged friend decided to do some target practice, but thankfully it came off with the water as it beaded off the car :D

Nice to see you getting along with some of the products I recommended. Really great finish and some nice beading too.

Great work!!
