Just went to wash my car and realised that I had run out of wheel cleaner, pinched kitchen cleaner. Best I've ever used on my alloys. Astonish kitchen cleaner from Asda £1=00 / bottle, Brilliant.

Its a very strong APC

Perhaps too harsh without diluting it at least 50%....Just to be cautious

Thanks for the warning, how does it compare to normal wheel cleaner and what damage can it cause ? bearing in mind that it is hosed off almost immediately.

From what i understand.. Most really good wheel cleaners are PH neutral to help prevent damage.

The autosmart wheel cleaner I use isn't acidic, and can be diluted.  I use it as #1 cleaner on all wheels I do, and then tend to follow up with iron-out in case anything still remains.

It's decent isn't it.

A wee bit expensive and don't use it every wash. Good for a thorough decontamination then seal the wheels. You only need normal shampoo then until they're looking grubby after a wash.

I think you're right Hunty278. Defo made the first clean on the wheels very easy! Alloys now sealed with poorboys pink stuff (can't remember what its called).

aye I think that's it........it's a technical name so no wonder I could remember!!

Just something to consider....PB Wheel Sealant is not very durable.

You will need to reapply it every month at least

But it does give a good finish and repels dirt quite well
