M110 i believe.

 

The photo is approximately 60-70 individual exposures of 25 seconds each, stacked, then processed in Lightroom. 

That's a mighty impressive photo  :thumbup:

 

Isn't the night sky a truly wondrous thing to take in on a clear night  B)

here's one I did with a 70-200mm, hand held in my back garden in Manchester. Google sky thingie said it was Jupiter Obvious isn't it?      :D :D :D:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks for your kind comments. I am hoping to be improving my astro pics shortly as i have just purchased some new equipment.

 

However, it has been cloudy ever since  :(

 

You have certainly captured "something" with your pic. Is it cropped significantly ??

 

It looks a bit patchy to be jupiter, but ho am i to argue with google lol ;-)

It was the only bright thing in the sky and the only object of note using Google's Sky app. As for cropped, well all I can say is I used the both the good pixels :D There does seem to be too darker strips though. I'm never going to get anything good from a 200mm lens in a Manchester back garden, at least not of a close up planet :D
