forward squeal!

Featured Replies

so today my octavia vrs started squealing whilst going forward,i cannot figure out why,

yesterday changed the wishbone bushes. new brake hoses and bled the system also had a ball joint fitted, all was fine.

then suddenly today i get a high pitch squeal when driving forward i cant figure out if its the front or rear. i see from searching there is a vw sharran spring but seems that is only for issues in reverse?

anybody come across this before?

Jack and spin each wheel to make sure they all freely spin. Sounds like a stuck brake pad to me..

so jacked up all the wheels rear span super good! fronts drivers ok the passenger was stiffer,.  so unclipped caliper cleaned up faces bit of grease. back on span better but still stiff, the back plate seemed to be catching on the bottom of the disc i reckon . so when it heats up it moves , but that theory will be tested later!
