Anyone experienced with installing the kit ? Does anyone use SmartGate interface with the Skoda apps, worth the effort?

It looks the using an ODB2 adaptor is an excellent (and probably cheeper)  alternative to SmartGate...

I have it, but I disabled it by entering a new non-valid password.. stops anyone highjacking the car.. the module is under the driver seat somewhere, which can be pulled out so I've read..
