Help an old timer with VPN

Featured Replies

OK so I'm pretty old school

I need to look into a VPN for downloading stuff if you catch my drift but seem a bit bamboozled by VPN

I know I probably need one but don't really want to pay mega bucks or get riddled with malware

Any links to good free VPN or should I just keep connecting via a web based on (hide my ass etc)

Just for the record I don't pirate movies its mainly for TV shows that are in the states

I havent tried the free ones, but Im guessing speed can be an issue with those.

I use Vpn from www.privateinternetaccess.com and Im very pleased with the ease of use and speed.

They have a preconfigured app for most operating systems, all you need to do is to enter you username and password and you'r good to go.

I think they have a free trial week if you want to try it.

And it only cost 40$ for a one year subscription.

I use IPvanish.com which is amazing!

do they bill you monthly or all in one hit/ year, Dean?

Monthly Lee.

They allow two concurrent sessions too so I go halves with a colleague making it much cheaper!

I use CactusVPN for $5 a month. I wouldn't say it's the best service out there however I have found the speeds are decent. They also have lots of useful guides for setting up a VPN through their software and other VPN clients. I have found their software to be a bit useless, but set up in Windows instead.

They have a trial to work with as well.
