We have now got an innocent OP's thread locked down so their question remains unanswered and insults flying around left right and centre.

Somehow I can't see it sorting itself out. The Facebook page is more civil than this and that's saying something......

We have indeed discussed the ongoing situation within this section and occasionally we take an overview decision which will not necessarily be liked by everyone or even sometimes, anyone.

We all appreciate that there is a wealth of knowledge on here that can be shared but we will go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that harmony prevails. If a (moderating) word (or sometimes more than one) within a thread doesn't get the right result then it will get locked. Rest assured that there are other measures that we have at our disposal if things start to get any more out of hand. In other words, if the carrot doesn't work then we'll use the stick.

However, in saying all that, I'm sure that everyone would rather the Mod Team didn't have to get involved in any disputes, and if there aren't any, then we won't. Let's call an end to all the animosity from now on and everybody will benefit.
