Retro Fit of Rear parking aid OPS. Help?

Featured Replies

We are going to attempt to retro fit the genuine OPS to my wifes' recently acquired 2014 Fabia 1.6 Tdi CR Elegance. I'm fairly confident about what we will be doing but wondered if anyone had carried out this fit? If anyone can pass along some advise it would be VERY much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ray

I've retrofitted genuine front & rear to an Octavia from scratch.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Apart from removing trim, it's pretty straight forward with the genuine kit. It'll need coding in with VCDS though.

The most difficult part will be the wiring as I found out removing trim and trying not to break anything!

The guide holes for drilling are printed on the back of the rear bumper just make sure you give it a good clean so the sensor guides stick to the plastic properly.

I fitted non Skoda sensors to the Wife's Fabia about five years ago.

Some photos of how to remove the rear bumper.

The sensor positions are marked on the inside of the bumper, so I drilled a small pilot hole from the inside, then drilled the correct size with a hole saw from the outside incase the paint chipped when the saw broke through.
