Resetting variable servicing on a Yeti Urban 1.2 TSi

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I hope someone out there can help. (This is my first post here, so please bear with me…)

I recently had my 3.5-year-old Yeti Urban (1.2 petrol) serviced at my local independent garage (who I’ve taken various makes of car to over many years, without any problems). The car was on a variable servicing schedule, and had done about 16,000 miles since its previous service 16 months earlier. When I picked it up after its service I noticed that the display was saying the next service was due in 9,300 miles – which made me think it must have reverted to non-variable servicing. I asked the garage about resetting it to variable, but they seemed at a loss to know how to do this. I don’t want to have to take the car back to the Skoda dealer where I bought it, which is miles away. If anyone can offer any advice on how the servicing can be reset to variable, I’d be most grateful.

with thanks in anticipation…!

What time (number of days) did it say? If it is on fixed then this will be 1 year after the service. If on variable it'll be up to two years after. It may be that the miles-to-service display will update itself as you drive and get longer.

You will need to hook up with somebody with VCDS (link in my signature) to reset it to variable servicing.

I doubt very much if a dealer will reset it if they have not performed the service.

Weasley, it says 356 days - so that seems to confirm it's now on fixed servicing.

Gizmo68, I appreciate you sharing that info. I'll look into it now.

Thanks to you both for your prompt and helpful replies!
