Factory approved lowering kit for Yeti

I have a Rapid Sport just now but will be ordering a new Yeti in a couple of weeks.

Just wondering if Skoda / Eibach etc do a warranty approved spring set for the Yeti to lower it just a bit ?

Any ideas?

  • Why would you want to??   The Yeti is a fine SUV with extra ground clearance to accentuate it's sporting capabilities.   It's a bit like buying a bungalow and having a dormer conversion in the lof

  • Personal choice - would be boring if we were all the same. If I like the Yeti in every respect (which I do) but want it with a lower stance, surely that's ok? ;-)

I'd be thinking about warranty implications.

I suggest that you actually drive one first and see how damned good a handling car it is.

Used to have a TdF Yeti - agree , great handling. It's not for that, it's just to close the gap a bit.

As the original post said, rapid has warranty safe Eibachs i.e. no warranty implications.

What is/was a TdF Yeti?

 

I can find nothing that shows an approved set of lowering springs for a Yeti. If you want to go down that route without "approval" look at BossFoxes project thread.

Our has been factory lowered by 20mm according to the specification of the Yeti Greenline.

Not sure where it has been done, some in the tyre, some maybe in the springs...

If you want a lowered yeti.. Surely another car would be better. Maybe a roomster.

Isn't the Greeline Yeti lower than standard?

Never seen the kit mentioned in the UK market.

On the fabia 2, the eibachs are 30mm lower and the Greenline gets 20mm lower springs.

But that is the Fabi and not the Yeti.

The Yeti Greenline springs are only 12 mm shorter.

The rest of the lower ride height is made up with the smaller diameter 205 /55 /16 wheels and tyres.

The Greenline looks no lower because the wheel arch gap looks the same.

Never seen the kit mentioned in the UK market.

I'm talking about the Skoda branded Eibach kits offered from Skoda Spares for the Octavia Mk2, Fabia & Rapid. Octavia was another step lower than the vRs but has been discontinued as a purchase from Skoda spares

I realised you were talking about the Eibach kits, and as I said I have never seen any mention of an official kit for Yeti's.
