Vogtland 45mm lowering springs for Vrs estate. Opinions/experiences with.

Featured Replies

I'm looking at lowering my mk3 Octavia Vrs Estate.. I've done a small amount of research and read a few of the threads on here which mainly mention either doing this with H&R or Eibach Pro Kit springs. I Stumbled across a set of 45mm Vogtland springs which look fantastic value for money at around £120 but would love to know if anyone on here has fitted these to their car or have any information on whether they are any good or if it's worth paying a little more for one of the more "trusted" bigger brands? I've had H&R springs before and was really impressed so I'm steering more towards them at the moment. Any opinions or experiences with Vogtland springs would be greatly appreciated.

Not able to comment on the springs you mention, but at 45mm lower you will definitely need a new set of sports dampers such as Bilstein B6 as OEM dampers max out at 40mm lower which is why I opted for Eibach which lower only 35/30 front/rear and retained OEM damping, although some on here disagree with my reasoning and recommend sports dampers with any lowering spring.

I paid less that £100 for H&R. Even now on amazon they are £148 delivered.

If your not in a rush keep an eye out on the price as they do drop under £100.

Is that 45mm from standard octavia height or from vRS height?

45mm from standard, says at the bottom to take into account the 15mm the Vrs has already dropped over standard models so looking at 30mm drop on Vrs height. Have you got any pics of yours with the H&R's fitted M12MKD?

I'd not seen that thread yet, cheers for that M12MKD pretty certain I'm going to go H&R now with 20mm spacers rear and 10-15mm front.
