Door seals holding water?

Featured Replies

My Yeti is now 18,000 into it's life.   2013 December purchase.

About a month ago it started dropping around 300ml...ish  of rain water in one huge dribble/slosh when I open the front doors.  Seems a far bit.

I've cleaned and fettled it underneath so it appears pretty clean. How come it has started and is there anything I can poke or fettle to avoid the rain water collecting?

Thanks.

park on a slope(?)

He may not live by one.

Flat as a fart round here. If it's the norm then that's fine but it's odd how it has just started.

Yeah, it's been reported on another thread and seems to be normal, same with my TT. I particularly notice it just after washing the car.

But it's strange that the OP reports it was OK before?

It's the quantity it holds. Not a trickle. Enough for the Mrs to notice and say "oh God... Gonna have to sort that out"

Went from nothing to Niagra falls :)

Gonna have a good check of the seals and door frame. Just too odd.

Oh and it's only at the very front. Dry at the back of the front doors.

Does the bottom of the door seal not have a hole or 'notch' to allow drainage?.

I have similar issue at back door..

but I've gotten used to

not happy, just accustomed.

I have this issue at front of nearside door only.

I used my petrol chamois on mine yesterday to remove all standing water and spiders from the wing mirrors.

then I had to get changed cos I got all wet.

Liking the petrol chamois idea. Might have to give it a go!

If the car has a good coat of polish it's a great way to get rid of 90%
