boost problem heeeelp!

Featured Replies

hello again  now i have put on my 3 inch downpipe with 200 cell cat

i changed it mostly because it leaked  exhausts at the flexi near the turbo

and i thought that it was because of the leak in the  downpipe the car acted like it did  but  now it still acts  the same  my friend is a mechanic and  he connected  a computer today after they had put the new downpipe and cat on  to see if

there were any any old fault codes and there were 2

one of them were because i disconnected the n75 valve to see if the boost would act more normal  then full boost no boost full boost no boost back and forth

and the result was that the car acted more normal but very slow  like it had no boost at all, or very little boost

so one of the faultcodes were that the n75  were disconnected and the  other one was to high boost

so now i dont  know what to do anymore

the car ran fine before i let a big volkswagen workshop here in sweden  change my ignition coils and after they changed the coils the car started to misfire between 1000-1500rpm  so they  had to take the car back several times to see what

was wrong because the car ran fine  before they changed the coils

but they couldnt find what was wrong they thought it was my civinco piggyback box so they disconnected  the civinco box and the misfiring actualy stopped  but instead of misfires now it gets  to high boost so the car goes like full boost no

boost fullboost no boost back and forth

heres all things tested and changed on a list

1. new sparkplugs

2. new crankcase hose old one was split apart

3 they measured all the coils and all were good no faults and they swaped them around and it still misfired

4 they did compression test on the motor and it was good to no faults

5 they tested the injectors and they work good no faults

6 they have tested the maf no faults there either

7 they have tested the n75 valve and says that it works like it should no fault there either

8 new 3" downpipe with 200cell cat the old one had a hole in the flexi and leaked exhausts

the only diffrence  from changing the downpipe and 200cell cat is that the car feels a hell of a lot stronger and faster and it drinks alot less fuel now

Authorized Skoda/VW dealer have a fuel pressure tester. Measure it and post back the results. Also pressure test the boost system for leaks.

Do you have a boost gauge?

thanks for your answer  the car has been at the volkswagen dealership so much before  and they never seem to find any faults they didnt even notice that the old original down pipe had an exhaust leak so i think im about finished with them,  the car will be checked over by another workshop here in sweden  named maptun and they will pressure test and do what they can to figure out what the problem is why the boost gets to high

and yes i have a boost gauge but its not installed  yet =/
