Hi everyone,my Octavia vrs 1-8t (2002) has just lit my orange oil warning light up,topped the oil up and all is ok.any ideas on how to reset it.thanks

It should go out when you start the engine again.

Have you changed the oil recently? That might help? I had that light come on, on my tdi topped it up, restarted the engine and it went out.

Or the strainer on the pick up pipe in sump may be a bit clogged reducing flow...

The strainer if blocked reduces oil pressure which would bring on the red oil light. The orange light is low oil level from the sensor in the sump.

I would be concerned about this!  Maybe sump off and check the pickup pipe before it comes a big issue.

Oil and filter changed,still the same so new pick up this weekend.

Might be a faulty level sensor on the sump too mind.

Thanks everyone,the vrs is sorted,new pick up and sensor,all looked well at the sump area,just needed to disconnect the battery and the light is now off and I'm happy.cheers.[emoji106]
