Hallo on my second Skoda

Featured Replies

Bought 2010 1.4Tsi in August to replace my 2002 1.9Tdi, which I had from new. Clocked up 148, 000 miles with no problems. Just normal servicing and replacement of worn parts. Still on original clutch. I was delighted with the 2002 car, and thought it was the best car I had owned. The Tsi is even better to drive, excepting the less mpg. I replaced the battery with a Bosch, as I consider 5 years old long enough. My old car's battery lasted 7 years, and then caused the fuse to blow. Replaced 4 tyres with Michelin fuel savers, as I thought Goodyears were noisy. Car is noisy anyway, but have fitted sound deadening to boot and spare wheel, so it's improved that. Alarm siren was u/s. The UK price was £136 pounds unfitted, so imported one from www.cars-equipment.com in CZ for £55 delivered. Dealer I bought car from fitted it free, and had to rewire it as mice has chewed the cable. Had VAG-Com man in Abingdon for £20, make Drls work, spots lights on when turning, unlock all doors with one clock and stop chirp on alarm. Great forum and thanks to all.
