PCP - pay monthly service charge or shell out yearly?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Quick question. I have to go and sign paperwork for my car tomorrow and they will try and sell me a service package (however much that costs). My PCP is 42 months, although I think I'll upgrade after 3 years. Is it worth paying a monthly fee, or should I just stump up the cash once a year? In anyone's experience, which is better value?

Thanks :)

with mine I signed up to the monthly payments for servicing, maintenance and tyres... added about £10 per month but I am on my PCP deal for 30,000 miles a year so I would have to fork out 3x a year. it made sense to me but its entirely up to you at the end of the day mate.

If the car is on Variable Servicing, then cost out what the services will cost for the mileage being covered in the time.

No need for a Main Dealer servicing, just Serviced to the Manufacturers Service Schedule / Guidelines, unless the PCP T&C's says otherwise.
