Featured Replies

Hi folks, done **** bumped my bumper scratching it. Obviously I look at it every time I get in the car now! Looking for advice on the best way to remedy this? Cheers

Do you want to try yourself to limit what you see or use a professional to restore it to as was? If it's the latter a smart repairer like chips away will do that for less than £100. Alternatively you could get a Skoda touch up kit for around a tenner and use a cocktail stick to apply. In between that would be a diy attempt to fill, wet and dry and spray with rattle cans.

I think limit what I see mate. Struggling a bit to find a touch up kit online for some reason...

Touch in with basecoat and then clearcoat, build up the thickness with lacquer (one coat a day ) until it's slightly proud of the surface. Then if your feeling brave you should be able to VERY carefully flat off the excess using 1500 paper on a small hard block (inch square ) and polish with some g3 compound.just be careful flatting because factory paint is very thin and it's easy to rub through. It won't be perfect but better than trying to use aerosols if you haven't done it before. Smart repairers can range from good to absolutely atrocious so choose carefully if you go down that route.Using a recognised company doesn't necessarily mean you will get a decent job done.
