Timing/cam belt access....

Featured Replies

Hi,, has anyone any hints or tips on how to remove my timing bet cover..

The belt is due in 10,000mls, but I really want to give it a good eyeball now..

The plastic cover is in a scary spot with lots of components surrounding it..

Appreciate any help. Thank You.

2011 1.6Tdi Skoda Octavia.

Ps: I can post pics early next week if that helps.

Have a look at this video. This car is a Yeti 2.0 TDI, but you may find some hints here anyway.

Takk så mye!

This video explains it much better than the Skoda workshop manual and the Continental timing belt kit instructions combined.

I'm now confident that I can carry out the timing belt and water pump exchange.

Is it your Yeti in the videos?

Tranberg: No, not my Yeti.
Video is found via bildeler.no or their playlist.  Looks like they are building a library of helpful videos.
I am also planning replacing the cambelt and waterpump early next year.  Also thinking about replacing the standard coolant with Evans.

Parts: Have you checked mister auto ?

I bought the kit from Mister Auto. If you triple their stated delivery times, then you won't get upset waiting.
