Skoda felicia battery

Featured Replies

Hi right now i have a problem with my felicia 1.3 lx it has a varta battery 12v 44ah 440a (en) when i statt it up sometimes cranks slowly or barely starts the eleftrician told me that maybe it needa a bigger battery is this true? I habe 100watt heaflights can this affect the this too ? When i turn off the car and leave the headlights on for a few minutes the battery is dead. The electrician also told me that alternator is charging and starter is good.

All depends on age off battery but get it checked sounds to me it has a dead cell

You can use a 075 battery instead of the standard 063 type, same terminal layout and size but bigger capacity, they are more or less the same price too

Your battery is dead. Time for a new one.

My last battery (Bosch S4 72Ah) served me well for 6 years. Now I have a Bosch S3 56Ah.

Thanks for the replies, Im getting it checked today with a voltmeter. 44ah is small for a felicia ?

You can check the battery all day long with a voltmeter and you will not know the real capacity and cranking load left in it.

44Ah is a little low. A decent capacity starts from around 54Ah on a stock 1.3 Felicia.

Thanks ricardo. Tested the system today. Its 12.5-12.6v when car is off. 14.2v when car is running. and i dont think this is good because when i put load on the system with lights, wipers, heater, turn signals. It reads 11.9v but when i rev it, it goes 13.1v
