Hi all,2005 octavia fitted with stream head unit,I would like to fit a dab unit,best to go for single or double din unit ???,I do like the look and price of the kenwood 406,are facia surrounds readily available and would you recommend windscreen aerial or new exterior unit,thanks for looking.

Go for the double din.

Thanks Aaron,is that head unit one that you've used ???,I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and fit a proper roof mounted aerial as the reception around here is dreadful with normal fm let alone dab,just not looking forward to taking the headlining down.

I managed without dropping the headlining (write up here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/339985-dab-ariels/#entry4103879), although I needed my Dad's help.   Having said that others will say dropping the headlining is not that tough anyway.

Get a proper roof dab for best reception, as above the roof lining isn't too hard to drop slightly as there is lots of advise on briskoda site.
