  1. Still a 250 mile round trip but thank you for offering, I'll give it some thought.
  2. I'd be interested if I was closer to collect it unless you wanted to do a deal and post??
  3. Thanks for that but I'm about 250 miles away.
  4. Hi all my daughter has just bought a 2019 fabia that has the useless foam in the boot but no spare, I want to find her a 15" spare wheel or space saver without spending loads so just wondering has the 5 stud pattern changed recently or am I OK in getting an earlier 5 stud wheel????, thanks
  5. It's a 1.0 se mpi 26000 74hp 26000 miles and it's £8799
  6. Hi all looking for a car for my for my daughter and have seen a very reasonably priced 2019 fabia 1.0 for sale, was just wondering how are these engines, she's not going to be doing huge mileages and just wondered if there were any huge downsides to them... Thankyou
  7. Bought a replacement regulator from euro car parts complete with panel for about £45 but what a horrible job, who ever thought up the idea to rivet the panel on and the the stupid plastic fittings that go through the glass are something else. One tip I would give though is don't use the genuine rivets or the ones that come with the panel unless you've got arm like the hulk, I used slightly smaller rivets put a small washer under them.
  8. Hi all,I have to replace the drivers door window regulator on my 2005 Octavia this weekend, what's the best and most recommended, the one with the complete panel or I've seen just the regulator parts available, has anyone recommendations....poss Euro car part or similar ???? thanks for looking.
  9. Thanks all for taking the time to answer.
  10. Currently own 2 skoda's and love the brand but looking to change my Octavia estate and have been thinking about a roomster,I'd love a yeti but funds won't stretch, looking at a 2010/2011 in the year and hopefully a 1.9 pd again ( my Octavia is on 215k and has been fabulous ), a bit concerned about the panoramic roof that I've seen on a lot of roomsters....has anyone any roof leaking or any other common problems. thanks for looking
  11. My thinking would be if you had a knackered piston before it went in you would have noticed very rough running and burning oil,if they got the timing drastically wrong has the piston been damaged by valve contact ???...any half competent mechanic would surely have turned the engine over by hand to check there was no contact before starting but maybe they didn't.
  12. Hi all, wife's 1.2 2007 Mk2 Fabia only 70 k has intermittent management light on and off, code read came up with camshaft sensor, tested sensor and all ok ,have been told it could be due to chain stretch instead, the engine isn't a rattler,is this normal at this mileage and should I be concerned about it ??? thanks edit.......just found previous posts about chains, bugger.
  13. sticking front calipers is a regular occurrence on my Octavia, probably twice a year I'll take the pads out of the fronts and lubricate and pump the pistons in and out a few times ,doesn't take long. On the brake hose idea I've know plenty of collapsed hoses in my time holding pressure on, at the garage where I work we always factor in the price of a new flexi hose when changing calipers, for what they cost it's not worth taking a chance.
