Scratches...

Featured Replies

Got home to find my car has been scratched... Alot.

They aren't deep scratches and i'm wondering what the best way to get rid of them is?

Any suggestions?

The car is silver if that matters.

Thanks.

Dan.

Hey..

If the scratches are not deep (I tend to use the finger nail test - If nail catches it's usually too deep) if it doesn't catch.. G3 professional do a kit in halfords which consists of a scratch removal liquid and 2 (black & white) waffle applicators. I've taken some light and deeper scratches out with that.

Worst case scenario it would be a a wet sand and polish up using a machine polisher and adequate compounds to fully remove.

Hope this helps. Any more questions fire away :)

The link attached is just the Liquid buddy, the waffle pads are separate at about £6.99 I think

There's also a video attached to the link for you.

Are there any cars that are a straight fit?

Cheers

Best ask in fabia section. This is tailored to car paintwork etc. :)

A great little car and it will serve you well buddy. I moved on from a Fabia Comfort to a Fabia vRS back in 2005. It's a nice transition and they certainly hold their value when looked after.

Yeah i only paid 800 for it. Only done 68000 miles and is in a pretty good condition for its age.

Interior is immaculate.

That's a bargain mate. It will be worth that in a years time with an MOT on it. Especially if you keep giving it the attention you currently are. Nice one buddy!!
