Featured Replies

Hey guys I've just noticed a noise coming from the front when I have the car on full lock while moving it seems to be making a noise/rubbing should this be something I should get check out straight away?

Does it make the same noise in both directions? Power steering usually makes some noise on full lock but the wheels shouldn't rub on anything! lol

Did have that a little bit when I got the car in April but it seems fine now I wondered if it may have been catching the mudguards I had fitted. Have had a bit of judder when reversing on hard lock but that disappears if I just move at tickover speed Joe

This was, is, a known problem on Volvo S60 phase 2 cars. At full, lock either way the tyres rub on the chasis rails. Bit of a design lash-up apparently. Solution was to fit sacrificial blocks to each chassis rail. MOT stations were made aware and it was not a fail fault. Not showing up on my Fabia.

I've booked the car in to be looked at I was having the issues at first if was to one side then I noticed it off both today it didn't seem bad and I couldn't hear it so I'm not sure gonna get them to take a look just encase.

But yes it's like what you guys have described
