Stone chip on Monte Carlo wheel, advice please

Featured Replies

Hi all, Had my 1.6 TDI Monte Carlo Tech for around 2 months and so far loving it!

however this morning i have noticed i have a stone chip on one of my nice black alloys around 1cm in diameter?

as far as i know (please advice if different) i have 3 options:

A) call out chips away etc? any idea of cost

B) Try and use a touch up pen? any idea of what colour i need?

C) Buy a whole new wheel? im assuming they come up on ebay from time to time?

any help much appreciated!

Buying a whole wheel for just one stone chip?  :nerd: touch it up yourself with some paint. Not sure what color code is the Monte rims. Could be just plain black.

Buy a new wheel....

I hope you don't get a stone chip on the bonnet as you will buy a new car :-)

I would find a local place that refurbish wheels, I would have thought it would cost around £40 for a full refurb

I use my Mrs nail varnish she doesn't mind because she usually chips them lol

The thing is that the 'Trinity' alloys are not Gloss Black,

but just do a google,

Briskoda Monte Carlo wheel colour and there are several threads, paint codes & how to mix a matching colour.

Well, I bought a whole new set as I had a very large chip on mine (or that's what I told the wife) My local wheel specialist will touch them in for £5
