Service Book, no dedicated service page for stamping by dealer

Featured Replies

Looking through the Manuals for the car, I took a look at the service booklet, there are no pages dedicated to each service interval, in the past, my main dealer always completed and stamped the service book at each service.

This always gave you a fantastic history of your cars service history, which is great when it comes to selling the car, question is, can you still request a stamp able service book.

You may find that Skoda has followed other manufacturers and put all their service records on-line.

Thats how it is with my current Mazda. You can though request a hard copy.

Yep, skoda did this about 2 years ago.

With my previous cars it has all been digital. I am expecting Skoda to be the same.

You can usually access the on-line details and print out whatever you want. I wonder whether new owners will be able to access the data when the vehicles are sold on? If so then we dont need to keep paper copies anymore.

You can still get a service book to stamp, but Skoda will charge you for it. I think it's about £15 or so.

Spare wheel extra, service book extra, what next!

According to my dealer, when I collected the car, you can go into any Škoda dealership and (with proof of ownership) get a free printout of the service history.

Not sure how that's going to work if you get it serviced by a non-Škoda workshop (not that I would and certainly not while it's within warranty). Guessing you'll have to buy the book.

My car has had a number of services at an Indy. I just keep the printout of the service they have done which lists what parts were used and the mileage. It does the same thing as a service book, only it offers more information.

Same here, they don't stamp them in Ireland either. I just keep the receipts & put them in the logbook as proof

Thanks all for your replies, I am still old school, I like a service book that is stamped by the dealer and stays with the vehicle, I will go into my local dealer and request one, even if it costs me.

I was running out of pages in my old service book so I photocopied about 20 extra pages and glued them into the existing book.

Maybe you can get somebody with an old book to scan the pages, email them to you and print / glue into the existing book. I'm sure the dealer would stamp them for you.

Thank you for the reply, I have e-mailed Skoda Customer services and asked if a Service book that can be stamped is available.

Received a phone call from Skoda Customer Services today, a Service Book to allow the dealer to stamp it at each service is no longer produced, so according to them you can't buy even if you wanted too, that progress for you, it all on iCloud probably.
