I noticed yesterday after my drive home frm work (6 miles ish,inc traffic) my temp guage was jst short of 70, and 2day on way home it was even under that at 1 point. I think i may have a stuck open thermostate? Never noticed the guage that low before.

Sounds like the thermostat to me,my sender went and the needle never moved from cold,I'd be tempted to get a Skoda one as the aftermarket ones play up apparently.

Yeah plus one for sticky stat=engine overcooling even gen ones are a bit of a lottery but not as bad as aftermarket

Yup, change it over.  Its a bit fiddly (use quarter inch extension with joint) but not too bad,
