When should I change the cam belt?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2011 Octavia 1.6 diesel with 41000 on the clock I would be grateful  if someone could tell  when should I be getting the cam belt changed? I cant seem to find anything in the manual.

Id suggest calling your local skoda dealer to be 100% sure but i think skoda uk say every 4 or 5 years depending on when the car was registered,im not sure what the mileage change interval is on the 1.6 diesel though.

A 2011 car should be 5 years, but I don't know about the mileage. Probably a 100k miles or more though.

My 2011 VRS CR is 5 year interval. Just looking to get it booked in actually as the car turns 5 years in March.

Just had mine serviced 2013 60k miles octavia mk2,asked that same question and official answer is 5 years or 120k miles whichever comes first

You don't have to but don't go crying to Skoda if the 1 in a million chance of the belt breaking happens to you.
