100% happy with how my vRS looks so I want to start looking at the performance side of things.

I've got a very small knowledge when it comes to what's going on under the bonnet but can identify different parts if I need to.

What I've been told by the last owner:

Uprated turbo (boosts to 18-20 psi)

Forge dump valve

Remapped (he thinks)

Obviously first thing I want to do is get it mapped myself as I have no proof of a map, will help me understand a little more about where I stand regarding bhp.

Can anyone advise on what to look for before I get it on the rollers? Last thing I want to do is blow the head gasket or even worse total the engine altogether. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Don't know if it's any help but I've been told it has around 220bhp.

Edit, forgot to add- it's had 2 valves deleted. One being the N249 and another one that's next to it. Since it's happened it's also thrown up the EML and the previous owner believes it may need a plug to go into the harness to bypass the light. Is this true and can anyone tell me where to get it?

Those valves need to be deleted in the ecu, mention it when you get it mapped.
