Now this is a rare beast, According to the website, https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ there are currently 17 Favorit Foreman II Pick Ups left, and I now own 2 of them. This latest 1 was found on Ebay. I wasn't looking for 1 at the time. I was looking for a van to replace my LDV Convoy which was written off a few weeks ago in an accident with a hired Volvo Estate driven by an American tourist. The claim was settled quickly as they admitted full responsibility, so my search for a replacement vehicle began. The search for another van didn't go well as I couldn't find anything suitable, so I decided to do a search for ALL VEHICLES within a 100 mile radius, and NEWLY LISTED. On the 2nd page was this Pick Up with a poorly written ad. It was on as a BUY IT NOW - BEST OFFER ad, so I made the owner an offer, which they declined. They came back with a counter offer, which I declined, but we met in the middle, and the deal was done. 

 

I made arrangements with my brother to go and collect the Pick Up on the Thursday just gone, as I had the day off work. I arranged a days insurance through the RAC along with Breakdown cover (Just In Case), sorted out some tax (the owner gave me the reference number from the new keeper slip), and we made the trip down into Norfolk to collect it. 

 

On arrival in Norfolk, we was greeted by the owner, who showed me around the truck, started the engine and opened the bonnet etc. After a few minutes checking it over, a wad of cash was handed over, the V5 was filled in, and I became the new owner. I was then handed a pile of paperwork, which included EVERY MoT certificate, as well as numerous receipts. In the glovebox was the service book and hand book. On looking through the service book, I found that it had FULL SERVICE HISTORY, the last entry being at 47k in 2004. Since then it has only covered an extra 7k, with only 1400 miles covered in the last 4 years. The drive home was completed effortlessly. There are a couple of little niggles, but nothing major.

Since getting it home, I have removed the truckman top from the rear

 

Plans are to lower it slightly, fit a set of alloys, tidy the bodywork up, and ENJOY. 

It looks in quite good condition! Looking forward to seeing what you do to it next

It is very tidy for its age considering it has had 6 owners, and spent time on a farm. I've hopefully just bought a set of wheels to fit on it, and they look a bit different to the norm, i'm just waiting for the seller to get back to me. I've had a play in photoshop to see how they look, plus changed the colour of the truck, and lowered it slightly as well. 

 

I'm guessing this was you I spotted yesterday on the A156 in between Fenton and the A57 turning?
