Just wondering what others experiences are with ordering and build dates. I ordered on 22/10 and been given a provisional Week 1 2016 build but nothing confirmed yet.

How long have you had to wait between placing the order and getting a firm build week?

Didn't get that as went via broker, but you might find its sooner than that - a few of us who ordered in sept have waited 8-9 weeks until ready to collect instead of the 10-12 quoted.

 

You might even squeeze it in just before xmas for collection!

I ordered through dealer on 4/9/15 never given a build week. Picking mine up tomorrow so just over 9 weeks. Was given a 12-14 week estimate. Seems to be hit and miss whether you get a build week or updates from skoda uk

Certainly have mate, 3 more hours to go. I'm like a kid at Xmas lol. Have resisted popping in to have a Sneak peek aswell.

Sorry a little OT but what tyres did you get on yours mate?

Mine took 11 weeks from order to collection. Yours may be affected by the Christmas shutdown?

 

Worth the wait. Great car. Feels really solid on the road, and fairly brisk too!

I ordered mine on Sunday, so it's likely to be mid-late January I'm guessing. 

 

Would be great if it was sooner, but I think that's pushing it a bit with the xmas shutdown. 

 

Can't wait!

Wonder if there's a difference between estate and hatchback runs. Ordered my vRS hatch on 29 Sept, dealer now saying build week 51. Still holding out hope I'll get a Christmas present!!

Ordered mine 21st Sep, was given an estimated 12 week wait, told it was due to be built week 44 (26th Oct) and I am going to pick her up tomorrow. 8 weeks 4 days.

Work ordered mine beginning of November - been given a delivery date of end of February.

Ah well - February is a short month and by that time the weather should have improved so won't be getting too dirty!

I also ordered an Octavia combi 2.0 TDi style about 4 weeks ago (in silver) and was told delivery late Jan. I got a build date of week 51 but I'm not sure if that's concrete as the last time I spoke to the dealer they didn't have a build week. Some of the extras include Xenons, kessy, winter pack, front assist, PDC front, sunset glass so I'm thinking with this lot it could take even longer.

Can't wait as well!
