Can the MFD screen show "4G" should I ever get a signal?  it shows 3G no problem

Not that I know of.

I think the BT modules are only 3g capable. I've certainly been in many good 4g areas with an appropriate sim and never had it show anything other than 3g.

Only 3g... :(
