Dilemmas of fix or sell

Featured Replies

I really don't know what is the best way forward, I have a mark 1 Octavia VRS estate. Brake discs need replacing and pads. Drivers door window mechanism needs replacing and temperature sender (which I have) needs doing too.

I don't have the time to do it now.

What's it worth in this condition or should I fix it then sell???? Any advice greatly appreciated

All those are relatively cheap and easy, so fix, even if you were to sell they would be worth doing.

Even paying someone to do the Labour side can't remotely come close to the loss incurred through swapping vehicles.

In my world none of those problems make the car one to get rid of.  Just a couple of hours maintenance if you're handy with a spanner.

Fix it and keep it.

they don't sound like game changers. even if you're paying someone esle to do it.

TBH it's worth b*gger all, whether you fix it or sell it as is.

You've obviously lost interest and faith in it, so you might as well chop it in as it stands for something new(er)

I have a new car now, was holding onto this as a track car but I don't have the time any more
