Featured Replies

Hi all just after some advise What's the diffrence between 505.01 Vw oil and triple qx oil that meets the same grade or any other brand of oil cheers graeme

as long as it meets VAG 505.01 spec it will be fine your 1.9PD engine, Asda also do their own brand 5W40 VW505.01 oil for about £20 for 5L (in gold bottle)

VAG 507 is for long life or cars fitted with DPF

Cheers 4 the heads up

Halfords are doing an offer at the moment for 5 litres of 505 spec 5W40 for £36.99, buy one get the second half price. If you have a Halfords trade card that price comes down to about £24.

The long life 5W30 to 507 spec retails at £42.99, once again buy one get the second half price. And once again the trade card price is significantly lower than that.

Mike that first oil is no good for a PD engine. It's only 505.00 not 505.01

Also, if you don't want to wait for delivery etc, EuroCarParts are currently doing 5L of Triple QX PD oil for £24.99

If you use code Cloud45 at the checkout, it gives an extra 12% off, bringing the total to £21.99. You can then do a click and collect at a local branch.
