Media Command app

Featured Replies

Just wondering if it's possible to make the MIB2 Columbus, 2016 model, to be operated with Skoda Media Command app?

Already have smartgate wifi, smartlink (mirrorlink) etc.

Did you ever get this working?

Superb only isnt it?

Superb only isnt it?

The description in the App Store just says 'your Skoda'. When I tried it the app failed to connect and said that I should get Media Commander activated on my car. Even if it was a Superb only feature, unless it requires extra hardware surely it must be doable with VCDS? Everything else is.

The App Store description goes on to say:

This application from ŠKODA AUTO a.s. requires to have a car equipped with Rear Seat Entertainment functionality*.

NOTICE: This application requires to be connected to your Škoda infotainment system over Wi-Fi.
To connect
STEP 1: From your head unit, go to "Settings" -> "WLAN" and for first time set up the connection
STEP 2: From your smartphone/tablet, go to settings and select the Wi-Fi network with same name as your infotainment system. If a password is required, you can find it in directly in the infotainment settings.

Rear Seat Entertainment function is on the Superb only at the moment.
