I would try the fitting bit and wiring but the air bag has me spooked!:eek:

JBS will be a bit closer, they fitted cruise to my car recently, £200 all-in.

You must disconnect the battery and allow the current to dissipate before removing it. Only reconnect the battery once everything is back together. If you want to have a go I'll give you my mobile number and you can call me if you get stuck.

My, and my wife's, fear is that the air bag will go off when I am taking off/putting on. And that in the event (touches wood) of an accident that the air bag will work!

Might still do this yet, bit of a challenge. I could always wear a full face crash helmet and neck brace, lol

The airbag will not deploy if the battery is disconnected - it requires the voltage to set the charge off.

You won't be in the car when you put the battery back on as you'll be fiddling underthe bonnet wont you.

I'm no airbag expert but treat them with respect and they will look after you. If it makes you feel any better I have a set of official instructions here and that is the correct method to do it.

If you are referring to the ebay seller then no. I would imagine he is a privateer who wouldn't have any sort of liability insurance etc.
