Fiat 124-Based on new MX5

Featured Replies

I think the Mazda looks more current and cutting edge, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Fiats looks stand the test of time longer. Mind you, I have a soft spot for an Abarth :)

Do you mean one of these?

When they bring that model out there is a perfect Reg No. on this Nissan.

I prefer the original though...

You see, that's what they needed to do! Maybe if the original Alfa/Mazda tie-up had lasted, rather than Fiat getting the gig - it might have looked a bit closer to the visualisations seen last year.... :(

Why would anyone choose a Fiat version?

Turbocharged more fuel efficient engine, and a more powerful option to follow.

I think it looks better too.

Fiat can do design very well, but I think this looks like a mazda with a fiat badge

I liked the X1/9 in their day though I'll admit I'm not sure this has stood the test of time.

Barchetta was a bonny wee car though, and the coupe (Turbo) of that era still looks good.

I loved my old X1/9 Driving through the night back to my parents form down South and with the roof off for the first time, is something I'll never forget, well that, the bad hair and the frostbite.
