Smoke from back of engine bay

Featured Replies

Hi , I have a Octavia Vrs mk2 on a 56 plate , I've noticed occasionally a bad smell in the cab , so I've lifted the bonnet to find when revved I get a blue smoke coming from the back of the engine but only when revved , do you reckon this could be a hole in the manifold or exhaus or something else ??

On my previous car, fabia vrs, I've had also smoke coming from the back of the engine when revved, fortunately it was only rocker cover seal failing and cost close-to-nothing to replace.

I've just had a leak from the back of the rocker cover. This lead to some hot oily smells, but nit any smoke.

It's hard to spot, take the engine cover off and peer between the back of the block and the turbo. You'll need a torch to see clearly.
